Workshop: "Taxman" on ukulele
May 16, 5-6pm EDT via Zoom
Just in time for tax day, learn to play George Harrison's song "Taxman" on ukulele. At its core, this song is a 3-chord jam in the key of D, but there's so much more we can do to make it fun to play. We'll begin by dissecting the D7 chord, then we'll experiment with alternate fingerings using beginner-friendly and more complex moveable chords. You'll learn basic and more complicated strum patterns, as well as how this song connects the Beatles to both Jimi Hendrix and Batman! Ukulele chord sheets will be provided; workshop will culminate with a virtual jam-along accompanied by U-bass.
