Friends With Benefits

Amy's flagship band, Amy Kucharik & Friends With Benefits (FWB) play early blues and jazz -infused folky Americana with a funky edge and an upbeat female-powered message, strongly drawing from Amy's original music.  Our New Orleans, ragtime-influenced instrumentation varies from show to show, but typically consists of ukulele, upright bass, trombone, and washboard percussion.

Tiger Moan

​Vintage and modern blues with sass and class. Tiger Moan is typically a 5-6 piece band with keys, drums, horns and Amy on vocals, harmonica, and ukulele or tenor guitar. Tiger Moan was founded as a blues dance band to perform for Sweet Molasses Blues and has been playing a first Sunday residency at the Burren Backroom Series since early 2022.

Four-String Serenaders

Performing the music of the 20s and 30s with an updated twist (and some retrofitted covers in the vein of Post Modern Jukebox), the Four-String Serenaders are a 3-4 piece band featuring ukulele and upright bass, along with a horn or two, or small format percussion. 

The Mezzcats

The Mezzcats specialize in playing 30s-40s swing music for dancers. The band features upright bass, clarinet, trumpet, and keys played by some of Boston's top swing jazz cats.
