News & Updates
May 9: Amy Kucharik & Friends (With Benefits) on Boston.com from our May 8 appearance at the Great Gatsby Ball & Extravaganza at UpStairs on the Square!
April 4: We did it! The Kickstarter wrapped at midnight on April 1, and we made our goal, so we'll be recording a CD over the coming months. I'm very excited about this project and will be keeping everyone updated about our progress. I've also updated our list of upcoming shows, and added a Friends (With Benefits) band page... check it out!
March 20: We're currently at 60% funded on my Kickstarter project. I'll be posting an update and sending out a newsletter today. But the BIG news today is that we'll be performing a short set in the Lizard Lounge Open Mic Challenge 12th Semi-Annual Main Event! Khrysti and I played in the weekly challenge this Monday, and WON! So now, we're going to the finals. :) Come root us on... and hear some of the best original music played by the best songwriters in town and from out of town!
March 6: How exciting: We just surpassed the $3000 mark on the Kickstarter. That's really cool! I'm nervous about the remaining $5000, but we are making a lot of progress in the first 6 days, and hopefully the momentum will continue through 'til day 30. In the mean time, I posted our first update video, which features highlights from the launch party on Saturday. I think you'll enjoy all 6 bands who played. Trout Fishing in America performed "Creepy Dead Bug," Amy's song co-written with Greg Klyma, at the Fayetteville Roots Festival. Listen to their entire set HERE. "Creepy Dead Bug" comes on after the 12 minute mark.
